Degradation and reduction of quality in public space is something that one quickly gets used to. 

In this work, I follow the gradual disappearance of crafts from public space. 

On a temporary concrete path, I painted paving stones in the "Stars and Crosses" pattern, which was previously common on the streets of Prague and typical of the streets of Žižkov and Vinohrady. Nowadays, due to simpler processing from cut square cubes, the old, more elaborate patterns have mostly disappeared. Instead of restoring the so-called chipped stone, it was replaced with a unified material.

I transferred the motif from Pařížská Street, where one of the last paving stones with this pattern is located in front of the house at No. 67/11.

The painting will be subject to weathering and will gradually disappear, similar to all unmaintained elements of our lives.
